Where
the Truth about Those "Famous Guru Products" is Told
Welcome and thanks
for coming to my review page. Let me get straight down to
business. I am an affiliate marketer, just like you.
I may a have a little more experience, but I’m in
the same game and this page is about sharing that experience
with you.
I have been working in this field for a
long time and I have tried a whole lot of products and read
a lot of content produced by the so-called gurus out there
and, frankly I’ve spent a lot of money on their products.
Why? Because I’m serious about this business and because
it is a 'business', not a hobby. My business pays the rent
so it has to be profitable but, equally, I have to invest
in it. A big part of that investment is keeping up with
the competition and the continuous changes.
So I buy other people's products to see
what I can learn. Some of the stuff I have bought has been
incredibly good and has made a dramatic difference to my
business – some of it I wouldn't give you a dime for.
So if you are just starting out and are feeling overwhelmed
by all the people shouting for your attention, this page
is for you. I have chosen here 6 products that I think you
should take a serious look at if you want to learn the best
techniques, from the real experts out there.
Most of them focus around Google Adwords
techniques and secrets, one is a software tool rather than
a training package and one is aimed at traffic generation
of all kinds. I have chosen them because they all have something
unique to offer, they are very good at what they do and
they are fairly priced. Below I tell you exactly why I think
this.
The Basic Requirements
Of course to make this list every product
has to offer a full money back guarantee, a reliable support
line and the best content, so rest assured that everything
recommended here has my seal of approval and has been tried
and tested.

Review - AdWords 180
Well, this
one is a bit different! The creator, Ian Rollinson,
looks in depth at an area of Google Adwords that
is usually ignored or even positively discouraged by other internet
marketing gurus – namely placing ads on Google’s
content network.
If you’ve
run any Adwords campaigns at all and not selected the option to
turn off the content network, you will see that something like
60 to 70% of your impressions have been from there and not from
the main search engines. You’ll also see that this has generated
a lot of clicks for you, but probably, unless you’re bucking
the trend, your conversion rate on these clicks is much lower
than you would like.
The received
wisdom is that click-throughs from the search pages are better
targeted and of higher quality and many online gurus advocate
turning the content network option off completely.
Rollinson
turns this on it’s head and delves into the murky world
of CPM (cost per thousand) with relish. He doesn’t
deny that the quality of ad serving on Google’s content
network is not so hot in relevancy terms but he argues, convincingly,
that this is easily offset by the low cost per click
it is possible to negotiate.
It is a straightforward
trade-off – high volume, low cost, lower quality; but for
many applications there is nothing wrong with that. List
building for example could well benefit from this approach.
Having an Adwords 180 campaign running at low prices in the background,
to increase your opt-ins while your main Adwords campaigns continue
upfront, is a strong mid-term strategy. Even though the leads
may be less well qualified, your autoresponder campaign will have
the chance to turn them into loyal converts.
Adwords
180 is not for the beginner as it assumes a reasonable
level of competency in setting up Adwords campaigns, but for the
intermediate internet marketer, it is thoroughly recommended to
add another string to your online bow.
Chris
Carpenter could be described as the Grandaddy of Google
Adwords even though he is only in his twenties. Chris
wrote the original definitive guide to making money with pay
per click, about 4 or 5 years ago and has had tremendous
success with it ever since. Many thousands of people, including
me, followed his blueprint and many of us achieved a great deal
of success.
One of the
things I love about Chris is that he is very straightforward and
also he’s not out to rip anyone off. If you bought a previous
edition of Google Cash before, he will keep on
upgrading it for you free of charge every tine he brings out a
New Edition. How many people in the internet marketing world are
prepared to do that?
He tells it
like it is and keeps it simple. This Third Edition,
brings the whole Google Cash system right up to date and includes
advice on how to handle things since Google changed the rules.
Actually, Google’s notorious move, known as 'the Slap',
last year in rationing the number of Adwords ads leading to the
same url is a real tribute to Chris as it was a direct result
of so many people following his teachings that Google got mad.
A year and
a half on and Chris is still at the top of his game. The course
will take you right through from complete beginner in the Adword
space to a pretty good level of competency and by the time you
are at that stage, you will have learned a hell of a lot more
than you did at the beginning, not only from Google Cash itself
but form your own experience as well.
In summary.
Google Cash is not expensive, it’s even more comprehensive
than before and it’s as good for beginners as it is for
those who have been around a while.
Chris McNeeney who created Adwords
Miracles is a bit of a miracle himself. He began affiliate
marketing in early 2006 and only six months later had made enough
money and learned enough about the business to be able to create
one of the best Adwords products around and since then he has
updated it and added a whole additional product called Project
X.
Chris is obviously a sharp, dedicated and hard-working
guy with a tenacious streak who is driven to get to the bottom
of what works and what doesn’t. Like the other experts in
my review list he fanatically tests, monitors and tracks
everything he does and tells you exactly what works for him, what
results it gave him and what doesn’t.
He has taken the basic Google Cash
model and in Adwords Miracles and Project
X, he has created five key approaches to the whole mystical
world of pay per click.
His writing style is clean and his explanations
crystal clear. I particularly liked his no nonsense approach to
writing Adwords ad copy, which is enough to get anyone started
with a reasonably successful campaign and even veterans can learn
a thing or two from him here.
He explains why testing is important and he is
a realist when it comes to the amount of work you have to put
in if you really want to be successful at Internet Marketing.
Adwords Miracle itself is a fine grounding in
Chris’s powerful techniques, for anyone, beginner and experienced
alike but Project X, which you can buy separately
or in a well-priced bundle with Adwords Miracle, adds a whole
new level.
It updates some of the techniques in the earlier
work, but brings in three or four new dimensions as well. One
thing I particularly like is that although his main emphasis is
on Adwords, he recognises that not everyone wants to spend a boat
load of cash on an a Google campaign when they
are just setting out. So he advocates a method called the Workhorse
which explains exactly how to get a free marketing campaign up
and earning commissions in 30 days or less. It’s
hard work but it works.
I think we’re going to hear a lot more from
Chris McNeeney in the future and I highly recommend this package.

This is a fantastic product,
but here is a warning! If you are a beginner, don’t buy
it!
Let me explain. Keyword Elite is
a super powerful tool, with many fine and in-depth features, but
it has been designed from the ground up by internet marketing
and software expert Brad Callen to be a tool
for the professional.
Keyword Elite is laser focused
on three key functions :
1 - Build and Analyse Your Keyword List
OK, there are plenty of other tools for doing
this out there, including Google’s own in-house Adwords
interface, but Keyword elite gives you many more options for refining
and sorting the massive lists of relevant keywords that it will
produce.
It will then go on to analyse all the important
data you need to assess those keywords. Cost per click, position,
performance and competition. You’ll never need to fear drying
up on keywords again.
2 – Analyse Competitive Websites.
This is where it starts to get interesting. For
any of your keywords, Keyword Elite will show
and analyse all of the top ranking websites which are already
competing in that space. It will tell you tell you their
page ranking, their click stats and their use of optimisation.
If you really want to emulate what the best in
the business are doing on their websites, Keyword Elite
will give you a complete behind the scenes glimpse of how they
do it. Keyword density, use of tags, alt text, meta terms etc.
What better way to optimise your own landing pages
than by examining and beating the competition?
3 – Beat the Competition
Finally, this functionality is what makes Keyword
Elite stand out. You can set it to track any Google Adwords
campaign and tell you exactly how well it is doing in terms of
impressions, click-throughs and results.
Oh, by the way, I don’t mean your own campaigns
– I mean your competition’s!!
It’s a bit like being a spy in the boardroom.
Imagine knowing exactly what your competition is doing; how effective
their campaigns are, which ones work and which ones don’t.
Why? Because you can tear them down, analyse them, copy them and
build your own, only better.
This truly is the best part of this great product
and one that will ultimately give you a serious edge
in the Adwords game.
Which brings me back to my warning. If you’re
a beginner, don’t buy Keywords Elite. It
will swamp you with far more information than you can use and
it assumes that you already know what you are doing with your
campaigns before you start. Wait till you have some experience
and understand the fundamentals before you invest.
For the more seasoned affiliate marketers out
there, get keyword Elite now – your competitors
already have and they’re beating your butt with it.
Unlike most of the other products in my reviews,
which with few exceptions concentrate almost entirely on Google
Adwords campaigns, this interesting package stands out for two
reasons.
Firstly, the way the material is delivered. Once
you have signed up you are given access to over 7 hours
of video content. You can also download transcripts and
audio versions of the videos but the entire approach of this package
is that video is the best way to learn.
The Michael of the title is Michael Cheney
a seasoned and highly successful internet marketer but although
this is all video, we don’t see him as a talking head. Instead
he uses capture technology to show slides and screenshots, with
him giving an audio narration to explain each technique thoroughly.
Although some of the graphics that he uses to
illustrate his point are quirkily amateurish, he does know his
subject extremely well and the format is surprisingly effective
for getting the point across. If you miss something you can quickly
wind back a few seconds and see it again.
Secondly, Michael’s Traffic Videos
is billed as a comprehensive guide to building traffic
from a multitude of sources, not just Adwords. And I do mean a
multitude. Sections covered include
Offline
marketing, particularly press releases
Using video on your site and through YouTube
and the like
Blogging to create new links, tweak the
search engines and create loyalty
Social sources such as forums and networking
sites
Repeat visitors through autoresponder and
opt-in campaigns
A a massive section on search engine optimisation
Building vast networks of back links
Article marketing, one of my favourites
and finally Viral marketing through e-mails.
Phew!!
In short he covers every possible method by which
you might possibly drive traffic to your website and most of them
are free.
I was going to say that this package is for the
beginner, but the more I delved into it the more I realised that
we can all learn something from this. Most internet marketers,
whether they have their own products or they sell as an affiliate
often use maybe one or two traffic strategies at which they are
very good and they tend to ignore everything else.
Michael Cheney’s thorough review of all
the options, made me think twice about my previously blinkered
approach and inspired me to add two or three more threads to my
marketing rope.
From
beginner to veteran internet marketer, I can highly recommend
this comprehensive and somewhat different package for it’s
up to date content, great explanations and complete overview of
the web traffic market of today.

One
of the most common mistakes I see among beginners to web marketing,
is the 'latest information' obsession. Some people
spend all their money on products to learn how to make money online
and all their time reading them that they never actually take
action. They never build a website, post an ad or even choose
a product.
Every
product reviewed here WILL show you how to build and maintain
a highly successful online business IF YOU TAKE ACTION.
Here's
my best advice. read the reviews, choose the one that's right
for you, buy the product and USE IT. When you've got your business
up and running and you've mastered a few of the techniques, then
come back and look for something new to learn.
Don't
believe anybody who tells you that you can never have too much
information. Believe me you can!
